NO referral is necessary to attend an appointment with your doctor at the skin cancer clinic and the doctors who perform skin checks will usually bulk bill aged pensioners.

Please inform reception that you are specifically booking in for a skin check because it requires a double appointment with your doctor. Please do not wear make-up or stockings to your appointment.

After your doctor has examined your skin using a digital scanner they will discuss with you the most appropriate management plan.

Excisions, skin biopsies and procedures are performed by doctors consulting at the surgery at a later date and usually require a 30 minute to 1 hour appointment.
